BJP alleges that BRS caused SCCL to incur debt in Telangana

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government’s decision to allow the Bhupalpally-Ramagundam-Singareni Collieries Company Limited (BRS) project has caused the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) to incur a debt of Rs. 1,000 crore. The BJP has also alleged that the TRS government did not conduct a proper feasibility study before allowing the BRS project, which has resulted in the SCCL incurring huge losses. The BRS project is a joint venture between the SCCL and the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), and is aimed at providing coal to NTPC’s Ramagundam power plant.

The BJP has claimed that the BRS project has resulted in the SCCL incurring a debt of Rs. 1,000 crore, which it will have to repay over the next few years. The party has also alleged that the TRS government did not conduct a proper feasibility study before allowing the BRS project, which has resulted in huge losses for the SCCL. The BJP has demanded that the TRS government should conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and take appropriate action against those responsible for causing losses to the SCCL.

The TRS government has denied the allegations made by the BJP, and has said that the BRS project was approved after a proper feasibility study was conducted. The government has also said that the project is aimed at providing coal to NTPC’s Ramagundam power plant, which is a critical source of power for Telangana. The government has said that it will take appropriate action against those responsible for any losses incurred by the SCCL, but has also emphasized that the BRS project is essential for ensuring uninterrupted power supply in Telangana.
