Khammam: An election workshop was held on Wednesday for Teachers MLC candidate Puli Sarotham Reddy. The event was organized by BJP district president Galla Satyanarayana. Several leaders, including Kishan Morcha state president Kondapalli Sridhar Reddy, Teachers MLC co-convener Srilatha Reddy, and former MLA Beti Subhash Reddy, attended the meeting.
Sarotham Reddy assured teachers that he would work to solve their problems. He criticized the Congress government for not approving the three Dearness Allowances (DAs) that were pending since the BRS government’s rule.
He promised to fight for the teachers’ rights, including securing the pending DAs and pushing for unified service rules in the teaching profession. He also vowed to transfer teachers affected by GO 317 back to their native districts.
Additionally, Reddy pledged to secure childcare leave for women teachers and grant seven extra special leaves over two years. He also promised to arrange mid-day meals for students studying in government ITI and polytechnic colleges.
