Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Promises Better Healthcare for Poor and Middle Class
Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has emphasized that poor and middle-class people rely heavily on medical and health services. He assured that these departments would receive top priority in the upcoming budget.
A pre-budget meeting was held on Tuesday at the Dr BR Ambedkar Secretariat, focusing on medical, health, science, and technology. Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka and Medical and Health Minister C Damodar Raja Narasimha discussed various issues with officials. They pointed out that the departments of drugs, food safety, and medical education had been neglected for the past ten years.
The ministers promised to strengthen these departments in the coming days. They also shared plans to modernize the drugs and food safety sectors. Additionally, the Finance Minister assured that enough funds would be allocated for Aarogyasri, a healthcare scheme for the poor and middle class.
The government also plans to complete the construction of medical college buildings and hospitals across the state within the next year. Officials were instructed to make better use of centrally sponsored schemes. Furthermore, the ministers revealed plans to build science and technology planetariums in district centers.
