Deputy CM Seeks Bankers’ Help for Self-Employment and Women Empowerment

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has urged bankers to support the government’s self-employment and women empowerment programs. He stated that the State government is giving top priority to implementing self-employment schemes through SC, ST, BC, and Minority Corporations.

Speaking at a review meeting with bankers on Friday, Vikramarka criticized the previous government for neglecting welfare corporations over the last 10 years. He assured that the State government is ready to provide subsidies and margin money. He also encouraged bankers to help unemployed youth by providing financial support.

The Deputy CM highlighted the key role of bankers in the development of Telangana. He said the State government has created a favorable environment for growth by enhancing skilled human resources through Skill University and ITI advancements. He also mentioned the continuous supply of quality power and strong law and order as factors attracting global attention.

Vikramarka announced that interest-free loans will be provided to women displaced by the Musi project. Additionally, Rs 20,000 crore has been allocated for women Self-Help Groups (SHGs). He emphasized that with the construction of the Regional Ring Road (RRR), industrial, pharma, and housing clusters will be developed. He believes that once the RRR is completed, large-scale investments will flow into Telangana.

The Deputy CM also stressed the importance of supporting the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, which provides jobs to lakhs of people. He assured that the government’s development plans aim to benefit all regions and sections of society, rather than focusing only on select areas.

He explained that the meeting with bankers was organized ahead of the Budget so they could align their plans with the government’s priorities. After a decade of neglect, the State government is giving equal importance to welfare and development. He urged bankers to plan their policies accordingly.
