Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, leader of the Congress Legislature Party, is on a padayatra (walk) for three months. He warned Chief Minister KCR that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government in Telangana will end. Bhatti spoke at a meeting in Gaggalapalli where he criticized the government for taking the lands of poor people. He promised to restore the land to the poor according to the law. He accused KCR of breaking his promise to give three acres of land to each Dalit and also taking back the lands given to the poor by previous Congress governments. The Congress Party will redistribute these lands to the poor when they come to power.
Bhatti also said that the BRS government has looted the wealth of Telangana. Despite the statehood of Telangana, people are unemployed, homeless, and without pensions. The BRS government has cut out essential commodities and failed to complete irrigation projects. Farmers in Gaggalapalli village suffered losses as no irrigation facility could be extended to about 2,500 acres.
Bhatti questioned why the local MLA did not provide irrigation facilities to farmers in his constituency.
