Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Emphasizes Women’s Empowerment for National Growth

Hanumakonda: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has stressed that the development of the country depends on empowering women.

Speaking at the Indira Mahila Shakti Vijayotsava Sabha at the Arts College grounds in Hanumakonda on Tuesday, he said the government’s main goal is to help women become successful entrepreneurs and industrialists. He expressed confidence that this would lead to women becoming millionaires. Bhatti Vikramarka assured that the government would provide all the necessary support for women’s progress, underlining the Congress party’s commitment to women’s continuous development.

He highlighted special efforts for Warangal’s development, mentioning that the government approved projects worth Rs 6,000 crore in a single day, calling it a historic achievement. He also praised former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for her revolutionary work for marginalized communities. Additionally, he announced plans to allow women’s groups to produce 4,000 MW of solar power, reinforcing the government’s focus on addressing women’s needs.

Praise for Warangal’s Development

PCC president Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud commended the government’s commitment to Warangal’s progress, describing the Rs 6,000 crore allocation as a record-breaking achievement in Telangana’s history. He further emphasized that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is working tirelessly to improve women’s welfare and ensure that the Congress government supports all sections of society.

Additional Government Initiatives

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy mentioned key initiatives such as setting up women’s empowerment centers in 22 districts, developing solar power plants, and providing insurance benefits. He also highlighted a Rs 72,000 crore allocation in the farmers’ declaration, along with various other benefits like free bus services and health schemes.

Minister Konda Surekha praised the Rs 6,000 crore allocation for Warangal as a significant milestone. She credited Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his strong commitment to the city’s development and criticized the previous government for ignoring Warangal’s growth.

Focus on Women’s Welfare

Women and Child Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod emphasized that societal progress cannot happen without women’s development. She announced a plan to hand over the operation of 100 buses to women as part of efforts to empower them.

Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar revealed plans to purchase 600 buses through women’s associations, highlighting the state government’s steps to improve women’s economic independence.

Inauguration of Kaloji Kalakshetra

Minister Jupally Krishna Rao spoke about the significance of the Kaloji Kalakshetra inauguration, honoring the ideals of Kaloji, a notable figure for his inspirational contributions.

Congress Party’s Commitment

Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu assured the public that the Congress party is determined to fulfill its electoral promises despite the challenging financial situation left by the previous administration.

The event showcased the Congress government’s focus on women’s empowerment and overall development, illustrating its vision for a progressive and inclusive Telangana.
