BJP national general secretary and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar has announced that he will adopt the Sri Guru Dattatreya swamy temple in Varadhavelli village, Rajanna-Sircilla district. The temple is located near the Mid Manair Dam and requires devotees to travel three kilometers by boat, which is causing difficulties. Sanjay performed puja during the Dattatreya jayanthi festival and after darshan, he promised to develop the shrine and provide necessary facilities. The temple is known for its unique sleeping posture of the God, seen as Rahu Rupa, and also has three neem trees with different tastes.
