Bandi Sanjay Urges Continuation of Rythu Bharosa Scheme Despite Code of Conduct

Hyderabad: Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has criticized the Telangana government for halting the Rythu Bharosa scheme, claiming it was done under the pretext of the Model Code of Conduct. He accused the government of denying farmers their rightful financial aid and demanded the immediate resumption of the scheme.

According to Bandi Sanjay, Rythu Bharosa is an ongoing welfare program and not a new initiative created for election purposes. He alleged that the government had already withheld a year’s worth of funds meant for the farmers and insisted that their entitlements should not be taken away further.

Speaking about the upcoming elections, Bandi Sanjay clarified that the Model Code of Conduct applies only to graduate and teacher constituency elections. He argued that it should not be used as an excuse to suspend vital welfare schemes. He also pressed the government to distribute ration cards to all eligible individuals and ensure the continuation of the housing scheme beneficiary selection process.

Bandi Sanjay warned that if the government does not take immediate action, the BJP might write to the Election Commission. He also proposed holding an all-party meeting to collectively appeal to the Election Commission to ensure welfare schemes are not disrupted. “Let’s unite and request the EC together,” he urged.
