Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has expressed confidence that the BJP will come to power in Telangana in 2028 and establish “Rama Rajya” in the state.
Speaking at a meeting with all party wings in Nagole on Friday, Bandi Sanjay urged party members to actively participate in the BJP’s membership enrollment drive. He emphasized the importance of bringing more people into the party to strengthen its base and increase its chances of winning the upcoming elections.
He highlighted that the BJP aims to give election tickets to dedicated workers who have been striving in local body elections. He also noted that in the BJP, even ordinary workers have the opportunity to rise to prominent positions, including becoming Prime Ministers, Central and State Ministers, and State Presidents.
The current membership registration drive aims to convert 10 crore people into BJP members across the country. Bandi Sanjay specifically urged the party cadre to enroll one lakh people as BJP members in the Old City area, with the goal of transforming the “Old City into a New City.”
He also encouraged party workers to explain the differences between the BJP and other political parties to potential new members, emphasizing the BJP’s commitment to ideology over personal gain.
Bandi Sanjay pointed out that winning elections is not just about securing MP and MLA seats. He stressed the importance of winning local positions like ward members, sarpanch, MPTC, MPP, and ZPTC in both rural and urban areas. This, he said, is key to fully establishing the party organizationally and paving the way for victory in larger elections.
He criticized the Congress party, accusing it of holding people’s interests hostage and prioritizing family rule and corruption. He contrasted this with the BJP’s commitment to ideology, even at the cost of ministerial positions. He also refuted claims about a possible merger between BRS and BJP, labeling these rumors as Congress propaganda and affirming the BJP’s stance against family-run and corrupt parties.
