Hyderabad: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar responded to allegations made by BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao regarding the Jawada farmhouse case. He clarified that the authorities were following standard procedures and stated that the case, initially an excise case, was changed to a drug case due to the need for conducting drug tests.
The Minister made it clear that the government was not against parties, celebrations, or festivals. However, those who do not follow the required rules and regulations will face legal action. He explained that if a celebration involves a large gathering where alcohol is served, the organisers must obtain permission from the excise department by paying the necessary fees.
Ponnam Prabhakar also accused BRS leaders of politicizing the issue. He further alleged that K.T. Rama Rao was attempting to mislead the public with his statements about the case.
