Arvind, MP accuses KCR of abandoning farmers in Telangana

Arvind Dharmapuri, a member of parliament for the BJP in Nizamabad, criticized the chief minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao, for neglecting farmers while campaigning in Maharashtra with the slogan “Abki Bar Kisan Sarkar”. Despite Arvind’s letters to KCR requesting compensation for crop damage, there was no response until the CM finally agreed to provide Rs 10,000 per acre. However, Arvind demanded Rs 50,000 per acre because farmers had not received any compensation for previous damage.

Arvind pointed out that other states were offering more compensation, with Madhya Pradesh offering Rs 32,000, Maharashtra offering Rs 9,000, and Haryana offering Rs 9,000-10,000. The Telangana government had also failed to pay its share of insurance premiums for the crop insurance scheme, causing it to grind to a halt. Despite the IMD warning of trouble ahead, the government was not taking action to help farmers.

Arvind criticized the ruling party for dancing at AtmeeyaSammelanalu while farmers were struggling. He also questioned the BRS party’s right to use the slogan “Abki Bar Kisan Sarkar” when farmers in Telangana were suffering. Procurement delays and poor market conditions were further exacerbating the situation. Telangana had the highest number of farmer suicides in the country, but the government was not releasing disaster management funds, despite 75% being released by the center. Arvind accused KCR of being the most inefficient and lazy CM among all 28 states.
