The Rouse Avenue Court in Hyderabad extended the hearing of a petition filed by BRS MLC K Kavitha against the CBI to April 26. Kavitha challenged the court’s permission for the CBI to question her without hearing her side. Her advocates, Rana and Mohit Rao, criticized the CBI for interrogating her without notice. Kavitha, who was arrested in the Delhi Liquor scam, is currently in Tihar jail.
During the court proceedings, it was revealed that the CBI had already questioned Kavitha in jail but had not provided a copy of the reply. The advocates argued that the CBI had conducted the interrogation before receiving the court order. The judge suggested that a new application needed to be filed for further hearing. The CBI agreed to present their arguments on April 26, and the court adjourned the hearing to that date at 12.30 pm.
