In Mulugu, Dr. A Appiah from the health department visited the flooded Kanchara Wagu area to help prevent insect-borne diseases during the rainy season. He advised 11 families on how to avoid diseases like malaria and provided them with medication. Health Assistant Chinna Venkatesh instructed them to take the first dose of malaria medicine on Wednesday and the remaining doses on Thursday.

Dr. Appiah also showed the families how larvae can grow in water and advised them to not store water for more than three days without covering it with lids. He distributed 30 mosquito nets and explained their importance in preventing mosquito bites. Additionally, essential commodities were given to the families at no cost.

The journey to Kanchara Wagu was challenging, especially when crossing a fast-flowing stream at Chilakamukku Dari. Dr. Mahender Chinna Venkatesh, Lakam Ramesh, Adinarayana Dharmaiah, and Muddaiah assisted Dr. Appiah during the visit.
