Former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s interim bail petition in the skill development scam case has been transferred to the vacation bench by the Andhra Pradesh Court. However, no date has been set for the hearing of the case.
The High Court bench has instructed the AP CID to provide the medical reports of Naidu, who is currently in jail, before the Court.
Naidu’s counsel requested the transfer of the case to the vacation bench and interim bail for two weeks, citing his age and the fact that he has already been incarcerated for over 40 days.
However, Additional Advocate General Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy opposed the granting of interim bail, mentioning that a similar request by Naidu’s counsel was already dismissed by the Supreme Court bench.
In a separate development, Chandrababu Naidu has filed an interim bail petition in the Supreme Court regarding the Fibernet scam case. This comes after the Andhra Pradesh High Court rejected Naidu’s previous bail petition. The Supreme Court will hear the petition on Friday.
