The Andhra Pradesh Government has filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court to stop former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu from getting regular bail. The government believes that the High Court made some observations about the case that it shouldn’t have when granting bail.
The High Court stated that Naidu had been away from the court for almost 22 months during the investigation of the skill development scam. It also mentioned that there wasn’t enough evidence to prove that Naidu influenced the witnesses. The Court questioned how the AP CID concluded Naidu’s involvement based on WhatsApp messages.
The Court clarified that verifying the signatures of Suman Bose was not Naidu’s responsibility and that the forensic department needed to confirm his involvement. The Court also mentioned that there was no evidence to show the then Government’s role in the alleged scam before granting bail.
