The natives of Andhra Pradesh living in Hyderabad say that local conditions, development, and law and order will influence their voting choices. They indicate that they will continue to support the ruling party because of the development activities happening in the state.
Ch Murthy Babu, a native of Bheemavaram settled in Hyderabad, believes that the ruling party should continue. He thinks that the party has done a lot of developmental work in the city and it would be beneficial if they remain in power.
On the other hand, Ramanjaneyulu, another native of Bheemavaram, has a different opinion. He says that he will not vote for the ruling party because it will benefit another party. Instead, he prefers to vote for the Congress.
NSK Kumar Reddy, a private employee from Kukatpally and native of Atmakur, believes that people from Andhra or Rayalaseema residing in Hyderabad will prefer voting for the ruling party. He praises the government for its development efforts and low corruption.
Reddy also mentions that the Congress party has changed since the YSR regime and believes that the natives of Andhra may not support them because their president is from the Telugu Desam party.
The Andhra natives believe that the recent arrest of Telugu Desam supremo N Chandrababu Naidu will not have a significant impact on the election. They think it might only affect certain areas where Naidu’s community has a strong presence.
Interestingly, BRS leaders from areas with a large number of Andhra natives have taken part in protests following Naidu’s arrest.
