Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday. This meeting was part of his two-day visit to the national capital.

Chandrababu left from Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad at 1:30 PM on a special flight. After arriving in Delhi, he went straight to meet the Prime Minister.

The discussion between the two leaders reportedly lasted for about an hour. They talked about important issues related to Andhra Pradesh, like funding for the Amaravati capital city project and the Polavaram irrigation project. Other topics included the development of roads, the creation of a new railway zone, and the possible merger of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant with the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). Chandrababu also requested help for recent flood victims in the state and discussed promises made during the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

After his meeting with the Prime Minister, Chandrababu is set to meet Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. On Tuesday, he will meet Union Minister Nitin Gadkari at 11:30 AM. Later in the evening, he will meet Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. At 8:00 PM, he is scheduled to meet Home Minister Amit Shah, followed by a meeting with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at 11:15 PM.

Throughout these meetings, Chandrababu is expected to talk about ongoing projects in Andhra Pradesh and ask for the release of central funds needed to complete them. The focus of the discussions will be on improving the state’s infrastructure and ensuring that financial commitments made by the central government are fulfilled.
