Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra and Mahindra Group, will be the Chairman of the upcoming Young India Skill University in Telangana. Official orders regarding this appointment will be issued soon.
During his visit to the United States, CM Reddy emphasized the importance of the Young India Skill University. This university will be the main venue for discussions on skill development initiatives. IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu presented the Skill Varsity Bill in the Legislative Assembly, leading to a detailed debate among lawmakers.
The Telangana government plans to tackle employment issues and the skills gap by creating this university. The university will offer 17 different courses aimed at providing practical skills to the youth, making them ready for the competitive job market. The focus will be on developing technical expertise, as simply having certificates will not be enough to secure jobs.
With the creation of Young India Skill University, the Telangana government hopes to equip its young people with the skills needed to succeed in today’s rapidly changing professional world.
