Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged the people of Hyderabad to vote for the BJP in order to control the highhandedness of the Majlis party led by Owaisi. He stated that neither the BRS nor the Congress can effectively handle the situation. Shah emphasized the need to bring the BJP to power to show that Owaisi’s actions will not be tolerated.
During a roadshow in Nacharam division of the Uppal constituency, Shah asked the people if scamsters should be punished. He mentioned that the party has decided to investigate BRS corruption and hold those responsible accountable. Shah also promised four free LPG cylinders, Rs 10 lakh health insurance, paddy procurement at a support price of Rs 3,100/quintal, and government support for crop insurance premium and input subsidy.
Shah encouraged the people to vote for Modi as Prime Minister for a third term in 2024, to support the BJP candidate in the Assembly elections, and to bring about a “double engine sarkar”.
The roadshow was filled with slogans such as ‘Jai Sriram’, ‘Bharat Mathaki Jai’, and ‘Jai Sri Krishna’. Traditional dance and music were performed, and people showered petals from their homes and apartments. The roadshow passed through various locations, including Sri Kanya Timber Mart, Ambedkar statue, Sushruta Hospital, Hanuman temple, and Netaji statue, which were decorated with saffron and party flags.
Due to the large crowd, the roadshow moved at a slow pace and had to be encouraged by Shah and other leaders to keep moving.
