Amit Shah and Kishan Reddy removed from FIR in Hyderabad

In Hyderabad, the names of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy have been removed from an FIR. This FIR was filed based on a complaint about the alleged use of minors in a BJP poll campaign in the city last month. The complaint was made by TPCC vice-president G Niranjan, who said that during a BJP rally on May 1, some minor children were seen on the stage with Shah.

The complaint was sent to the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer, who then asked the city police for a report. As a result, an FIR was filed against Shah, Reddy, BJP candidate K Madhavi Latha, legislator T Raja Singh, and BJP leader T Yaman Singh. However, after investigating, it was found that Amit Shah and Kishan Reddy were not involved in the incident. A charge sheet was filed in court last week, and a police official confirmed that Shah and Reddy’s names have been removed from the case.

The notice sent to the complainant stated that the involvement of Amit Shah and Kishan Reddy was not established, so they were no longer part of the case. The case against the other three individuals will continue under Section 188 of the IPC for violating an order issued by a public servant.
