Ambati Rayudu, a former Indian cricketer and IPL legend, announced his retirement from all forms of Indian cricket. He played for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and helped them win their sixth title on Sunday night. Rayudu said that playing for India and winning six IPL titles were his most cherished moments in his two-decade-long career. He thanked his family, especially his father, for their support throughout his journey. Rayudu expressed his gratitude to the BCCI, ACA, HCA, VCA, and BCA for providing him with opportunities to play. He also thanked Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings for being a part of his successful career.
Representing India was the greatest honour for Rayudu, and he still remembers the day he received his India cap for the first time in 2013. He thanked his teammates, support staff, coaches, and fans for their encouragement and support throughout his career. Rayudu ended his statement with a message saying, “See you on the other side.”
