Allu Arjun's Bail Petition Postponed to December 30
Actor Allu Arjun’s regular bail petition in connection with the Sandhya Theater stampede case has been postponed. The Nampally court rescheduled the hearing to December 30, 2024. As part of the proceedings, the court directed the Chikkadapalli police to submit a counter response.
The case stems from a tragic stampede that occurred near the Sandhya Theater during the premiere show of Pushpa 2 on December 4, 2024. The incident claimed the life of a woman named Revathi and left her son critically injured. Following the event, the Chikkadapalli police registered a case and named Allu Arjun as the 11th accused (A11).
On December 13, the Chikkadapalli police arrested Allu Arjun and presented him before the Nampally court, which placed him under 14 days of judicial remand. Challenging the case, the actor approached the High Court, which granted him interim bail for four weeks. This allowed Allu Arjun to be released from jail with instructions to apply for regular bail at the Nampally court.
On December 27, Allu Arjun filed a regular bail petition in the Nampally court. During the hearing, the police requested additional time to prepare and file their counterarguments. As a result, the court adjourned the bail hearing to December 30.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun appeared virtually before the Nampally court as his 14-day judicial remand had officially ended. His lawyers informed the court that the High Court had already granted him interim bail. The case continues to draw significant public attention, with the next hearing now set for Monday.
