Hyderabad: The highly anticipated All India Crafts Mela is set to begin at Shilparamam in Hyderabad on Sunday. This popular event, sponsored by the Union Ministry of Textiles, will run until December 31.
The fair will showcase a wide variety of handcrafted items, including handlooms, wood carvings, terracotta, blue pottery, cane, bamboo, and jute products. Visitors will also get a chance to watch live demonstrations of these traditional crafts.
In addition to the crafts, cultural performances will take place every evening. Folk artists from Thanjavur will present special art forms, adding to the festive atmosphere of the event.
The Mela will be inaugurated by Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, Tummala Nageshwar Rao.
