Akbaruddin Owaisi and Minister Seethakka Argue Over Women's Safety in Telangana Assembly

In the Telangana Assembly, AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi and Minister for Women and Child Welfare Seethakka had a heated argument over the issue of rising crimes against women. The discussion became intense as Akbaruddin criticized the government’s policies, leading to an uproar in the House.

During the debate on various demands, Akbaruddin highlighted the increasing crimes against women and the declining real estate market due to the current government’s policies. As he continued his speech, mainly targeting the Congress, Minister Seethakka interrupted him. She argued that AIMIM, which was allied with the previous BRS government, was also responsible for the current situation. She blamed the previous government’s failure to tackle drug addiction and other issues for the rise in crime against women.

Akbaruddin, speaking in English and Urdu, felt that the Minister misunderstood his points. He mentioned that he struggled with speaking in Telugu, which might have led to miscommunication. However, Seethakka stood her ground, stating that it was unfair to blame the Congress government, which had only been in power for a year and was still working on streamlining administration.

As the argument continued, Akbaruddin was not given a chance to respond, which frustrated him. Along with other AIMIM MLAs, he protested against the Minister’s aggressive remarks. Legislative Affairs Minister D. Sridhar Babu tried to calm the situation and restore order in the Assembly.
