Akbar plans to discuss 'Chaiwala' and 'Chowkidar' in upcoming LS elections

Akbaruddin Owaisi, the floor leader of AIMIM and the Assembly candidate for Chandrayangutta, criticized PM Modi on the final day of campaigning for the Assembly polls. He said that during the campaign for the upcoming Parliament elections, he will be targeting Modi by speaking about his ‘chaiwala’ and ‘chowkidar’ image.

Akbaruddin made these remarks at the Khilwath ground in the Old City, where he also stated that the Assembly elections will conclude with AIMIM winning all seats. He mentioned that now that the Assembly election campaigning has ended, he will shift his focus to discussing ‘chaiwala’ and ‘chowkidar’ during the LS elections.

He also criticized Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi for her comments on the BRS, BJP, and MIM working together. Akbaruddin said that he is not interested in such alliances and mentioned that the country is suffering due to leaders like Modi and those in the Congress.

According to Akbaruddin, while there are various voices in the country including Modi, Gandhi, and representatives of different castes and communities, Muslims and minorities only have the voice of the Majlis. He emphasized that the Majlis works for the development of the Muslim community and is the only voice raising concerns for minorities.

Akbaruddin recalled past communal tensions in Hyderabad, such as the Mecca Masjid bomb blast and other riots where Muslims were killed. He blamed the Congress for 50,000 communal riots that occurred during their rule and accused them of betraying Muslims.

He criticized the Congress further by stating that since 2018, they have not raised any issues concerning Muslims. He pointed out that Urdu was not even mentioned in their manifesto. Akbaruddin slammed the Congress for following Nehru’s ideology, which he believes aims to suppress the Muslim voice and destroy their religion.

Regarding the BJP, Akbaruddin said that the country is equal for everyone, regardless of whether they wear tilak, hijab, skull cap, or pagdi. He accused the BJP of destroying peace and harmony in the name of religion.

Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi, the chief of AIMIM, criticized Rahul Gandhi and accused him of being lonely and seeking power through alliances. Asad also criticized Feroz Khan, the Congress candidate for Nampally, for allegedly describing Muslims from the constituency as ‘fanatic’. He urged people to vote for Majlis on November 30.

At the public meeting, various MLA candidates and party activists spoke, including Waris Pathan from Maharashtra Byculla, Dr Imtiyaz Jaleel from Aurangabad, and Akhtarul Iman from Bihar.
