The AIMIM floor leader, Akbaruddin Owaisi, said that the State government would need over Rs 3.10 lakh crore to implement all the guarantees promised by the Congress party. Speaking in the Assembly, Owaisi provided the details of the funds required for each guarantee. He mentioned that Rs 5,399 crore per month would be needed for gas subsidy and Rs 36,000 crore for the Rs 2 lakh loan waiver. Owaisi clarified that he was not criticizing the Congress party but acknowledging their experience in ruling the country 16 times. He also stated that his party, AIMIM, would not form an alliance with the Congress party and would continue to fight for their people independently. Owaisi questioned how the government would repay the RTC, which would face a daily loss of Rs 12 crore due to free travel for women in TSRTC buses.
