The All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is a unique political party in Telangana that has been winning elections without an election manifesto. The party is led by Assad Uddin Owaisi, who makes all the decisions. Recently, AIMIM has been trying to expand its presence in other states but has not been very successful.

AIMIM is now considering contesting in a few more Assembly constituencies in Hyderabad, such as Rajendranagar, Musheerabad, and Jubilee Hills. However, some people have raised concerns about the party’s approach. One person from Musheerabad, Ch Lakshminarayna, complains that AIMIM talks about the Constitution, secularism, and cultural diversity but does not speak Telugu in the state Assembly. He believes that if AIMIM wants to represent voters outside of the old city areas, they need to effectively communicate their aspirations in Telugu.

On the other hand, Mohammad Rafique from Chikkadapally argues that AIMIM represents not just Urdu-speaking Muslims but everyone in the city. He points out that many Urdu-speaking Muslims in the districts speak Telugu, and many non-Muslims in Telangana speak fluent Urdu and Hindi. He believes that the state’s composite culture promotes bilingualism and multilingualism.

An undergraduate student named L Pratima from Rajendranagar acknowledges that AIMIM has been improving its vote share in the constituency since 2009. However, she believes that the party’s chances of winning are low unless they receive full support from BRS (presumably a political group). Pratima also criticizes AIMIM for isolating people based on community and language and not caring about others. She thinks that this approach may work in the old city but not in other constituencies.

In conclusion, AIMIM is a unique political party in Telangana that has been winning elections without an election manifesto. The party is considering expanding its presence in Hyderabad but faces criticism for not speaking Telugu in the state Assembly and for isolating people based on community and language.
