Agreement Signed with SCR to Expand Plastic Waste Recycling at Three Additional Railway Stations

Hyderabad: ScrapQ, a waste management company, has signed a new agreement with South Central Railway to help manage and recycle plastic waste at more railway stations. This agreement was signed on Saturday and will focus on three additional stations. The goal is to reduce plastic waste and turn it into new products, promoting environmental protection.

Venkat Sunkari, the CEO of ScrapQ, said that this initiative will help cut down plastic waste at railway stations and support environmental sustainability. ScrapQ has been working in the field of waste management for the past seven years. The company already manages plastic waste at two stations, Visakhapatnam and Sambalpur, and now they will expand to Kachiguda, Nizamabad, and Kurnool railway stations.

Sunkari also mentioned that their partnership with railway authorities is important for reaching their environmental goals. Through this agreement, ScrapQ will not only recycle plastic waste from passengers but also other materials like cotton boxes from station stalls and over 150 different recyclable items related to railways. The company is dedicated to protecting the environment and helping both the community and nature through these efforts.
