Adilabad, Nagarkurnool seats may be secured through alliance with BRS and BSP.

The BRS may not be able to compete in the Adilabad Lok Sabha segment in the upcoming elections due to an alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party, which is seeking the seat. BSP national coordinator and Rajya Sabha member Ramji Gowtham visited KCR’s residence to discuss seat-sharing adjustments.

As part of the alliance, BSP is asking for Adilabad and Nagarkurnool LS seats. State party chief RS Praveen Kumar is set to contest from Nagarkurnool, while Seedam Ganapati will contest from Adilabad. Both parties have announced their alliance, with BSP supremo Mayawati also giving her consent.

The BRS has announced candidates for nine constituencies and left two seats for BSP after MP P Ramulu joined BJP and got a ticket for his son Bharat. Party senior leader G Nagesh also joined BJP and got a ticket, causing a crisis in Adilabad with several senior leaders deserting the party.

On Wednesday, senior leader KoneruKonappa resigned from the party, and sources say another leader AIndrakaran Reddy is considering leaving as well. Both leaders may join the Congress due to their dissatisfaction with the BRS-BSP alliance.
