Telugu actress Hema, who was in jail for attending a rave party, has been released. She was granted conditional bail by the Bengaluru Rural NDPS Special Court and left jail on Friday.
Hema had requested bail in connection with the rave party case and was given conditional bail on June 12. However, she was only released on Friday due to delays in the bail process.
The actress had attended a rave party in Bangalore Electronic City and made a video claiming she was in Hyderabad. After testing positive for drugs, the police sent her two notices. Hema was arrested after going for questioning and was held in judicial custody until June 14.
Hema has appeared in around 250 films, mostly as a supporting actress. She has worked with top actors and also acted in Kannada films, including ‘Power’ with Puneeth Rajkumar in 2014. Some of her notable Telugu films include ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’, ‘Son of Sathyamurthy’, ‘Dictator’, ‘Attarintiki Daredi’, ‘Mirchi’, ‘Rabhasa’, ‘Brindavanam’, ‘Rebel’, ‘Julayi’, and ‘Magadheera’.
