AAP to contest Arunachal Pradesh assembly seats with its own candidates

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced that it will be fielding candidates for all assembly seats in Arunachal Pradesh. This northeastern state has 60 assembly seats, and the AAP plans to contest for all of them, as well as two Lok Sabha seats next year. The party has promised to provide free water, power, medical facilities up to Rs 10 lakh, and world-class education once they form the government in the state. They have also pledged to abolish the controversial Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (APUAPA) 2014 and the Arunachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act 1978 if elected.

In response to calls from various Arunachal Pradesh organizations, the AAP has vowed to remove the APUAPA, which has been a point of contention. By 2023, the AAP aims to have governments in both Delhi and Punjab. They have also secured five seats in the Gujarat assembly elections. The party will also be fielding candidates in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh for the upcoming assembly elections in November and December.
