9 trains re-routed through Charlapalli due to Secunderabad station redevelopment

Hyderabad: Due to ongoing redevelopment work at Secunderabad railway station, the South Central Railway (SCR) has decided to reroute nine trains to reduce congestion.

To make travel smoother, four of these trains will now stop at Charlapalli station instead of Secunderabad. This will serve as a new boarding and deboarding point for passengers.

Train number 20809/20810 (Sambalpur – Nanded – Sambalpur Tri-weekly Express) will be rerouted from Charlapalli towards Kamareddi via the Moula-Ali Bypass, avoiding Secunderabad. This change will start from April 26. Similarly, train number 20811/20812 (Visakhapatnam – HS Nanded – Visakhapatnam Tri-weekly Express) will follow the same diversion from April 26.

According to an SCR official, other trains affected by the changes include the Visakhapatnam-Sainagar Shirdi-Visakhapatnam Weekly Express, Narsapur – Nagarsol-Narsapur Express, Narsapur – Nagarsol-Narsapur Bi-weekly Express, Vasco-da-Gama-Jasidih-Vasco-da-Gama Weekly Express, Machilipatnam-Sainagar Shirdi Weekly Express, and Visakhapatnam-LTT Mumbai-Visakhapatnam Daily Express.
