81st Corps Day celebrated by EME in Hyderabad

The Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) celebrated its 81st Corps Day on October 15. Lieutenant General JS Sidana, Commandant, MCEME, and Colonel Commandant Corps of EME, laid a wreath at the EME War Memorial at Secunderabad to honor the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The ceremony was attended by serving and retired officers, JCOs, and other ranks of EME along with their families. The courage and bravery of these soldiers will continue to inspire future generations to defend the nation’s integrity and sovereignty.

A Special Sainik Sammelan was organized on October 14, where Lt Gen JS Sidana encouraged all ranks to strive for excellence and uphold the Corps motto of ‘Karm hi Dharm’ (‘Work is Worship’). Over the years, the Corps of EME has excelled in various domains such as equipment sustenance, technology absorption, indigenization efforts, sports, and adventure. The dedication and professionalism of all ranks have ensured the Indian Army’s operational readiness and mission reliability. The General Officer commended the outstanding contributions of EME in different spheres and expressed confidence in their ability to find practical solutions for the field army.

During the Sainik Sammelan, officers, JCOs, and other ranks who had excelled in different domains were honored by the General Officer. The Corps Day is celebrated annually to showcase the rich history and valor of the Corps of EME, serving as an inspiration to the present generation.
