In Hyderabad, the Rachakonda SHE Teams caught 66 people in 15 days for stalking, sexually harassing, and threatening women. Out of these, 32 were minors. Among the complaints received, 21 cases were about sexual harassment.
The police took action by registering three criminal cases and 37 petty cases. They also let off 50 individuals after giving them a warning and counseling. One of the arrested individuals was a man who had been harassing a female doctor, asking her to be his friend. He went to her workplace, argued with her, and even physically assaulted her. A complaint was filed against him at the Medipally police station.
Another arrest was made of an intermediate student who had been harassing the parents of a girl who had rejected him. He threatened her parents as a result. A case was registered against him at the Waligonda police station based on the complaint. In a separate incident, the police registered a case in Bhongir against an individual who had blackmailed a girl. He had taken intimate pictures of her and then forced her to meet him by threatening her.
