Raids Target Illegal Liquor in Nagar Kurnool District
In Nagar Kurnool, authorities have launched a special operation to crack down on illegal liquor across Telangana. This campaign, which began on January 16, will continue until February 15. Raids are being conducted in various parts of the district as part of this effort.
Following orders from Excise Department Director Hari Kiran and Enforcement Director Kamalahasan Reddy, Enforcement Task Force teams carried out raids in the Kalwakurthi Excise Circle. These raids extended to Charakonda and Ramapuram villages.
During the operation, officials destroyed 500 liters of palm wine and seized 5 liters of illegal liquor. A case was registered against a man named Pandula Srinivas in connection with these activities, according to Kalwakurthi Excise CI Venkat Reddy.
The Kalwakurthi Excise CI confirmed that these special raids will be ongoing until mid-February. The operation involved several key officials, including Excise Enforcement CI Venkateshwar Reddy, Task Force CI Kavitha, and the Charakonda Excise Police staff.
Authorities have emphasized their commitment to eliminating illegal liquor in the region through these coordinated efforts.
