Many buses hired by schools were found to be older than 15 years and unfit for service. This raised concerns about the safety of school children being transported in these vehicles. The RTA raids aimed to address this issue and prevent potential traffic chaos and risks to students’ lives.

The JDTC emphasized that buses with more than 15 years of service should not be allowed on the road. Any unfit buses in violation of this rule would be seized, and action would be taken against the owners. Operators were also advised to hire experienced drivers under 60 years of age for added safety.

RTA teams from Rangareddy, Medchal, and Uppal sections collaborated in conducting these inspections to ensure compliance with road safety regulations.
