Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad had a record number of visitors on Sunday, with over 25,000 people coming to enjoy the zoo. The pleasant weather and summer holidays attracted families from all over the city and state, as well as tourists.
The zoo management credited the increase in visitors to the nice weather and improved facilities like shelters from rain and sun, a raised pathway around the animal enclosures, and other amenities. Despite the large crowd, the zoo officials worked hard to ensure everyone’s safety by opening more ticket counters, providing additional security, and alerting staff members at key points.
The deputy curator of the zoo, A Nagamani, expressed gratitude to all the visitors for choosing the zoo as their Sunday outing. To educate visitors, a short film on wildlife conservation and breeding programs was shown at the main entrance and various locations within the park.
