15 injured as massive fire erupts at Karachi Bakery baking facility in Hyderabad

A major fire accident occurred at Karachi Bakery’s manufacturing unit in Gaganpahad, Shamshabad. The fire was caused by a gas leak and resulted in 15 severe injuries. Twelve injured individuals were taken to DRDO Apollo Hospital, while three were admitted to Trident Hospital.

The fire happened on Thursday morning at around 10 am in the outskirts of Hyderabad, within Shamshabad RGIA police station limits. The Fire department received a call and sent a fire tender to the spot. By the time they arrived, the fire was already under control. The injured workers, mostly from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, were immediately taken to the hospital. The cause of the fire was a gas leak in the pipeline due to overheating the oven.

A team from the Ranga Reddy District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) visited the hospital to investigate the burn cases. The injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at DRDO Apollo Hospital and Trident Hospital. They have sustained burn injuries ranging from 35 to 80 percent.

One of the injured workers, Pramod Kumar, recounted that the fire broke out while they were baking items in the oven due to a gas leakage. They were then shifted to a nearby private hospital before being transferred to DRDO Apollo Hospital.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed shock over the incident and instructed the secretary to the Medical and Health department to provide better medical facilities. He was informed that most of the injured workers were from Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister ordered immediate and improved medical treatment for all 15 injured workers.
