Independence Day was celebrated at Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad. V.S.N.V. Prasad, IFS, Director of the park, hoisted the National Flag at the administrative building. Prashant Bajirao Patil, IFS, Curator of the park, A.Nagamani, Dy. Curator, and other staff members were present during the ceremony.
To make the day more special, a documentary film about the zoo was released, showcasing the wild animals in their natural habitats. Nehru Zoological Park is the first zoo in the country to display wild species in simulated natural habitat enclosures with ample space.
V.S.N.V. Prasad greeted and congratulated all the staff members on this occasion. Outstanding employees of the year were awarded certificates and cash prizes.
During his speech, Prasad highlighted the uniqueness of the zoo and its high standards. The zoo plays a significant role in wildlife conservation, as it has successfully bred a large number of endangered species. Prasad acknowledged the efforts of the zoo curator and his team for making this possible.
Various officials and staff members from different sections of the zoo, including veterinarians and range officers, were also present at the event.
