    YS Jagan reports Rs 69,000 crore investment, 130+ industries established, and 86,000 new jobs in AP within the past 4.5 years

    Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched and laid the foundation stone for several food processing and industrial units worth Rs 1,100 crore. These units have the potential to employ over 21,744 individuals. In the last four and a half years, the state has seen the establishment of 130 large and mega industries with an investment of Rs 69,000 crore, providing employment to 86,000 people.

    The Chief Minister emphasized that the MoUs signed at the Global Investors Summit (GIS) were being turned into reality. He urged officials to prioritize the industrial sector and continue to cooperate with investors. District collectors were instructed to support investors and entrepreneurs at every step.

    During the launch, YS Jagan inaugurated an edible oil refinery in SPS Nellore district, which was established with an investment of Rs 250 crore and can employ over 1,150 individuals. He also launched a sesame seeds processing unit in Vizianagaram district, which will be maintained by a farmers’ producers organization and will employ 20 people.

    The Chief Minister further inaugurated common facility centers in Kakinada industrial estate, which will provide employment for 1,000 individuals. Additionally, he launched 21 industrial development projects and factory complexes across 18 districts, with an investment of Rs 286 crore and employment potential for 18,034 persons.

    YS Jagan laid the foundation stones for various food processing units, including a maize-based unit in Eluru district, a food products unit in Vizianagaram district, and a tomato processing unit in Kurnool district. He also inaugurated a pharma unit in Kurnool district and the nutraceuticals unit of RPS industries.

    According to YS Jagan, out of the 386 MoUs signed at the GIS in March 2023, 33 units are already functioning, works on 94 units are in progress, and the remaining industries are in the preliminary stage. The state has seen the establishment of 1.88 lakh new MSMEs, providing employment to 12.62 lakh individuals.

    The launch event was attended by IT and Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath, Agriculture and Food Processing Minister K Govardhan Reddy, Chief Secretary Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, and other officials.
