Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu a ‘sadist’ for obstructing welfare schemes for the poor by going to court too often. He made these comments during a large gathering in Markapuram as part of his ‘Memantha Siddham Yatra’ on Sunday.

During the public meeting on the tenth day of his yatra, the Chief Minister criticized Chandrababu Naidu for preventing the poor from accessing housing schemes and disrespecting farmers who receive free electricity. He also accused him of trying to stop English education for the poor.

Jagan Mohan Reddy described Chandrababu as a sadist for spreading baseless claims that Andhra Pradesh would become like Sri Lanka. He also mentioned a case where a woman named Geethanjali from Tenali ended her life after being harassed by TDP supporters for benefiting from Government schemes.

The Chief Minister highlighted the achievements of his government, stating that they have directly given Rs 2.7 lakh crore through DBT and fulfilled 99% of their manifesto promises in 58 months. He urged people to vote for YSRCP to continue the development of government schools, empower women, and provide welfare for the elderly.

Jagan Mohan Reddy also criticized Chandrababu for complaining to the Election Commission, which led to elderly people having to visit village secretariats to receive their pensions. He contrasted his government’s achievements in developing new ports, airports, fishing harbors, and medical colleges with Chandrababu’s unfulfilled promises of high-tech cities.
