Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy accused Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu of influencing the Centre to stop welfare distribution in the state. He made these remarks during an election meeting in Rajanagaram, East Godavari district.
Jagan claimed that Chandrababu Naidu and the State BJP chief were pressuring the Election Commission to halt financial assistance under ongoing welfare schemes such as pensions and input subsidy. He criticized the former government for creating obstacles for the people who were used to receiving assistance at their doorsteps.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that those affected by the disruptions would vote in favor of his party, YSRCP, to reinstate pension services. He condemned Chandrababu Naidu for causing unnecessary troubles and legal battles, calling it a new low in democracy.
Jagan highlighted his government’s track record of fulfilling promises on time through a welfare calendar implemented over the past 59 months. He assured the public that if YSRCP wins the upcoming elections on June 4, all scheme distributions would be expedited within a week after reclaiming power.
