Block Level Sports Competitions Held in Kalwakurthy
The ‘Block Level Sports Competitions’ were successfully conducted in Kalwakurthy town at the Government Model Degree College. The event was organized by the Swami Vivekananda Seva Brigade in collaboration with the My Bharat District Youth Sports Department. Students from various colleges in the town participated with great enthusiasm, particularly in the kabaddi matches.
District Youth Sports Officer, Kota Nayak, attended the event as the chief guest. He shared valuable insights with the participants, highlighting the central government’s support for sports and explaining the various benefits of being involved in such activities.
The Principal of the Model Degree College, Sripada Sharvani, also addressed the gathering. She stressed the importance of balancing sports with academics, emphasizing that sports play a vital role in improving mental health and overall physical well-being.
At the conclusion of the event, the winners were honored with sports kits, certificates of appreciation, and medals to celebrate their achievements.
The program saw active participation from Swami Vivekananda Seva Brigade President Shiva Kumar, brigade members, college lecturers, and numerous students, making it a memorable occasion.
