Hyderabad: Youth Congress leaders blocked the convoy of Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) in Amberpet. They demanded an apology to Minister Konda Surekha. The Youth Congress also wanted an apology for an incident where Congress members were allegedly attacked outside Telangana Bhavan on Monday.

Hyderabad Youth Congress President, Motha Rohit, condemned social media posts that he claimed were made by BRS followers. He said these posts had upset Minister Surekha and other women leaders. Rohit criticized the trolling of ministers on social media, labeling it inappropriate.

The situation escalated when KTR was on his way to visit families affected by the Musi project in Amberpet. Youth Congress leaders stopped his vehicle in Vidyanagar. This led to a scuffle between BRS workers and Youth Congress members.

Motha Rohit explained that they resorted to this protest because BRS leaders not only insulted the women minister but also attacked Congress workers. He added, “We are in the government and showing restraint, but constant trolling and disrespect towards women ministers on social media is unacceptable.”
