Hyderabad: Youth Congress Holds Torch Rally Against Amit Shah’s Remarks on Ambedkar

A torch rally, also known as a “mashaal rally,” was organized by the Youth Congress in Hyderabad, led by former Hyderabad Youth Congress president Motha Rohit. The protest was held to condemn Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s alleged remarks against Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.

The rally began at Liberty and ended at the Ambedkar statue, with protesters demanding Amit Shah’s resignation. Motha Rohit explained that the torch procession symbolized the people’s anger and determination to defend the legacy of leaders like Ambedkar.

Rohit criticized Amit Shah’s remarks, calling them disrespectful to Ambedkar and his contributions. He stated that such comments not only insult Ambedkar’s legacy but also hurt the sentiments of millions of Indians who revere him as a champion of justice and equality.

The protest leader further emphasized that the Youth Congress would continue its struggle until Amit Shah apologizes publicly. “We are committed to upholding the principles of justice and equality enshrined in our Constitution. Disrespecting our leaders and our heritage is unacceptable, and we will not tolerate such actions,” Rohit added.

The rally reflected the group’s firm stand against any attempts to undermine the legacy of Dr. Ambedkar and the values he stood for.
