Sindhanoor Youth Celebrate National Youth Day with Community Service
The youth of Sindhanoor village came together to celebrate National Youth Day and honor the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. On this special occasion, they formed a new committee and paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda by garlanding his portrait. The young participants reflected on his teachings and drew inspiration from his philosophy.
To mark the celebration, the Sindhanoor Village Youth (SVY) committee carried out meaningful activities to serve their community. One of their key initiatives was planting saplings to promote greenery and spread awareness about environmental conservation. This gesture underscored their commitment to creating a better and greener future.
In addition, the youth took it upon themselves to address a local problem that had been ignored by authorities for some time. The road connecting Sindhanoor and TT Doddi had become riddled with potholes, causing inconvenience to the public. Frustrated by the inaction of local officials, the youth decided to take matters into their own hands and filled the potholes themselves.
This act of self-reliance and community service was inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s ideals. It also served as a form of protest against the negligence of local authorities. The efforts of the SVY committee were widely appreciated by the community, with many praising their determination and sense of responsibility.
Key members of the SVY committee, including Suresh, Bhimesh, Venkatesh, Vijay, Dullayya, Ramanjaneyulu, Tirumalesh, and Majunath, played an active role in organizing the event and carrying out the initiatives. Their teamwork and dedication were recognized by locals, who described their actions as a shining example of leadership influenced by Vivekananda’s teachings.
This program demonstrated the power of collective effort and highlighted the vital role of youth in driving positive change within society. The Sindhanoor youth have set a strong example of how small actions can make a big difference when guided by inspiration and a sense of community.
