    Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officials to hold review meetings at district and zonal levels to improve the law-and-order situation in the state. He cited the recent incident in Ambedkar Nagar and urged officers to remain vigilant to prevent similar incidents.

    In the Ambedkar Nagar incident, a 17-year-old girl student lost her life after being pulled by two molesters, causing her to fall, and then being run over by a motorcyclist on September 15. Adityanath emphasized the importance of timely filing of charge sheets and gave special attention to cases involving violations of the POCSO Act and crimes against women.

    The Chief Minister also stressed the need for strict action in cases related to “love jihad” under the new law. He directed officers to ensure that CCTV cameras are installed in all police stations within a week, where installation is still underway.

    Adityanath mentioned the establishment of cybercrime police stations at the range level and urged the process to begin at the district level. He also called for the extension of cyber cells from the district level to the police station level, emphasizing that the operation of the cyber help desk should continue even after the operation of the cyber cell at the police station level.

    To maintain peace in the state, Adityanath urged officials at various levels to closely monitor negative news on social media. With the approaching festive season, he warned of increased activity by anti-social elements on social media and instructed officers to make a list and take action against such individuals.

    Recognizing the favorable investment climate in the state, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of providing a hassle-free experience for investors. He suggested deploying “Paryatak Mitra” police at police stations to effectively assist tourists.
