Hyderabad’s Roads and Buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced that the government will change the name of the famous temple town Yadadri to Yadagirigutta. This decision will be implemented soon with the necessary orders being issued promptly.
Former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had declared Yadagirigutta as the State’s Hindu spiritual center and renamed it as Yadadri when he came to power. The development of the Narasimha Swami temple played a key role in this decision.
In a statement to the press, the minister confirmed that the Congress government will reverse the earlier decision to change the name from Yadagirigutta to Yadadri. Alair MLA B Ilaiah also supported this move and highlighted the importance of preserving the town’s original name.
