The devotees visiting the Tirumala Temple in Andhra Pradesh are requesting the return of the ‘Sudarshan Token’ system to help plan their darshan of Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamy. Many devotees, especially from Telugu states, are finding it difficult to secure slots for darshan due to the online booking system filling up quickly.
Previously, devotees would book darshan slots at the TTD office with Aadhaar cards, but now the online system is causing issues as slots are filled within minutes. The old Sudarshan Token system reserved around 1,000 slots per day for devotees, but was replaced by the online quota release system.
Some devotees believe the old system provided a smoother darshan experience compared to the current online booking system. They urge for the return of the Sudarshan Token system and request the new government to allocate quotas for devotees who face difficulties with online booking.
In addition to the booking issues, some devotees have also raised concerns about the quality of the laddu prasadam. They mention that the laddu has changed in taste and consistency over the years. Despite these challenges, there are options for citizens to have laddus in the city on weekends at specific locations.
Overall, devotees are hoping for improvements in the administration of the temple and a return to the previous system to enhance their pilgrimage experience.
