Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender spoke about the respect and honor given to women in Indian society. He mentioned that India has always worshipped women and followed a matriarchal system. He pointed out that Sanatana Dharma, culture, and traditions all emphasize the importance of women.
He made these remarks while attending the 10th Annual Women’s Day Awards ceremony organized by Hello Hyderabad Sports and Service Organisation at JNTU. During the event, he presented prizes to the awardees.
Eatala Rajender explained that Indian traditions celebrate goddesses like Saraswati for education, Lakshmi for wealth, and Shakti Peethas for divine feminine energy. He stressed that India has historically been a leader in the world, known as Vishwaguru, and is working to regain that status.
He also highlighted how Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership has increased global recognition of India’s culture. He noted that India is unique in wishing for the well-being of all, as expressed in the phrase ‘Sukhino Bhavan’, meaning “May all be happy.”
Speaking about women’s contributions, he praised ASHA workers for their efforts in healthcare and acknowledged the role of mothers in supporting Anganwadi teachers. He pointed out that women are excelling in various fields, including the army, police, and space exploration. He concluded by emphasizing that families that do not respect women often face difficulties, while those who value them thrive.
